Semester Tuition
We assess program tuition on a semester basis. Payment is processed through the registration platform. If you need to pay by check or money order, please email us at stringproject@music.arizona.edu to coordinate. The UA String Project never accepts cash.
Financial Assistance: The UA String Project promotes an inclusive learning environment, and we will never turn any participant away based on finances. Financial assistance is provided based on financial need. Please fill out our financial assistance form prior to registering for a String Project program.
Youth Strings
Tuition for Youth Strings is $300 per semester, which includes the cost of a weekly group class and a 30-minute weekly private lesson. 100% of tuition collected supports the costs of operations, including faculty/staff compensation, sheet music, and other operational supplies.
Students in the Advanced Ensemble level have the option to increase private lesson time to 45 minutes or 1 hour. If this option is selected, the tuition rates increase by $75 per semester for each additional 15 minutes in lessons.
Sibling Discount: $75 discount for each additional child on the base tuition. Additional charges for longer lessons is applied after the sibling discount.

New Horizons Strings
- Beginning Strings: $80 per semester
- Intermediate or Advanced Strings: $100 per semester.
Together in Music
Tuition is $60 per semester.
Mariachi Ensemble
Tuition is $100 per semester.
