Welcome to the University of Arizona String Project!

UASP is a special place, designed to inspire and build creativity among young musicians and to cultivate a learning environment that enables the development of future string teachers. While 100 community K-12 students receive accessible music education, future teachers gain valuable teaching experience.

String Project meets every Saturday and offers private lessons, ensemble rehearsals, solo recitals, and orchestra concerts. Through the incredible generosity of a donor the String Project endowment enables any student, regardless of financial circumstances, to study music. Note that String Project is at maximum capacity and is a program in high demand. We currently have a waitlist of students who desire to join the program. An opening in String Project is a coveted place requiring full commitment to the program.
