The University of Arizona String Project offers in-person private lessons starting Saturday, September 18, 2021. Online registration is now open. Masks are REQUIRED for all String Project participants and chaperones. The program will carefully monitor COVID-19 in Arizona; String Project may make program adjustments depending on university policies.

The University of Arizona String Project is dedicated to the partnership of teaching and learning in music. This outreach program is designed to inspire and foster creativity among young musicians and to cultivate a learning environment that enables the development of future string teachers. While 100 community K-12 students receive accessible music education, future teachers gain valuable teaching experience.

String Project meets every Saturday and offers private lessons, ensemble rehearsals, solo recitals, and orchestra concerts. Through the incredible generosity of a donor the String Project endowment enables any student, regardless of financial circumstances, to study music.

The University of Arizona is a member of the National String Project Consortium.
